Erica Rooney

Co-Senior Health and Wellness Coordinator, Verizon Telecom

Erica Rooney serves as the Co-Senior Health and Wellness Coordinator for Verizon Telecom.

Erica directs athletic and wellness programs and is responsible for serving the employee members with an excellent corporate fitness environment. Located in Cary, NC, Erica is part of a team consisting of 44 Health and Wellness Centers nationwide.  Erica is responsible for conducting fitness testing processes, prescribed exercise programs, and the development and implementation of motivational fitness programs.

Working in close partnership with the Company Benefits Team, Erica helped to develop the WellConnect Benefits Portal- Verizon’s one-stop shop for employee Health and Wellness needs.

Erica has a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and a Master of Science from the University of Florida.  She is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist and an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer.
